The Vitocal 150-A range uses the natural refrigerant R290, which has an ultra-low Global Warming Potential (GWP) of 3. This underpins Viessmann’s Climate Protect+++ rating, based on the TEWI (total equivalent warming impact) indicator, which characterises the life cycle efficiency of the appliance and the greenhouse gas potential of the refrigerant used.
A Model for Every Project Application
- Vitocal 150-A: a hydronic heat pump that offers excellent quality and performance, from the single fan outdoor heat pump in 8kW, and the dual fan outdoor heat pump in 10, 13 and 16 kW outputs. The Standard Hydrobox incorporates all required hydronic heating system components in a single appliance. Ideal for both new builds and retrofit solutions.
- Vitocal 150-A Compact: incorporates all standard Vitocal 150-A components plus a 190-litre DHW cylinder made of steel with ceraprotect enamelling, for combined space heating and cooling, and domestic hot water in one unit.
- Vitocal 150-A Hybrid: incorporates all the standard components of the Vitocal 150-A Hydrobox, without the expansion vessel. The Hybrid Hydrobox includes an additional 3/2-way mixing valve for bivalent operation. Recommended for retrofitting existing gas or oil boiler systems.
